Have You Heard Of The Nedi?

My daughter was home from college this weekend and her very sweet trusting boyfriend wasn't feeling very good, so she asked if I had anything in the medicine cabinet that would make him feel better. I started prowling through some of the tried and true remedies and sure enough had some leftovers but when I ran across the "Nedi", I was sure it would do the trick! My mom recommended this a while back when I was a little congested and it really works!! Feels kinda wierd at first but now I want to do the "Nedi" all the time!! Call me wierd but I'm hooked and they sell them at Walmart!! Look they still like each other!!

She's on the market!!

No!!!!!!!!!!! Not me! I don't eeeeeeven want to think about that right now! My camper that I have had a blast taking to the lake with the kids and to the mountains with the soon to be ex. Staying in the cute camper was fun, not campinnnnnng with the ex. Well she was put on the market about 5 minutes ago. I hope someone will buy her and enjoy her as much as we have. My friend over at GinnyB's and I decided we wanted to fix up these vintage campers after I had seen them on T.V. one morning. Let me tell you, all it took was mentioning it to Ginny and we were on the prowl. Well long story short, we drove around all over town and found Ginny one first, stopped, asked the guy if he would sell it. If I remember right, I think we made him feel sorry for us saying we might have to let one of our daughters stay in it her first year of college. We got away with that camper for little to nothing. I searched for the next few weeks and ran across mine, got it bought, and we fixed them up.. We had a blast. My daughter begged me not to ever sell it but as part of my new year I am trying to scale back on my belongings, and I don't have a barn to store her in, so she's on ebay.

My Word for 2009

Faith is what I've been living on alot here lately and I wish I had found this earlier in my life, its funny how you have to almost get knocked to your knees to realize what really matters in life. Does anyone else feel this way? FAITH IS BEING SURE OF WHAT WE HOPE FOR AND CERTAIN OF WHAT WE CANNOT SEE. Hebrews 11:1 Can you guess what my word is for the new year? The Tip Junkie is giving away a Tabetha Sullen necklace with your word for the year, so go there and enter.

I am back! Sort a a a a a a!!

Well I've been gone from blog world for a while as the ex- got the computer in the split. However the middle one is home from college and is letting me use hers for a while. Well I know that it shouldn't be that big of a deal to get a new one, but you see, I don't sell tassels, and yes I miss having one to use everyday, my priorities are in a different place at the moment, and the money just doesn't seem to go as far these days. The holidays were great, and the kids are all great! Hope everyone had a great holiday, and I wish you the best NEW YEAR!!!

Mistreatment in the Laundry Room!!!

I've done this sort of mistreatment before, and kinda forgot about it. The fabric was from another window that was actually a roman shade. I love this fabric, and I knew that I wanted to use it again somewhere. It's so easy-- one end is turned through a drawer handle anything that can be attached ( I screwed this in to the door). In this case, the right side is turned back toward itself, so that you don't see the ends, the other end is then taken through another sort of decorative piece that can be attached. If you need to stabilize it at the top, the staple gun sure comes in handy. I then pleated and played with it until I thought it looked okay. This window treatment has red translucent beads all across the bottom, so it looks cute stacked up on the left.

FOR SALE

Finally!! We've got the house listed!!! Hope we get some serious lookers soon!!!! I've been trying to do a few things around here to spruce the place up, and clean out. Every time I watch one of those Sell This House episodes, they always say de-clutter! So-that's what I've been doing. Throwing away and giving away. If you or anyone you know who wants to live in "Sunny"California, or "Beautiful" Florida, this house is not for you!! Mainly because it's in Texas, and it's also smack dab in the middle of Dairy Country. But that is a plus............we have some of the most wonderful people in this town. It's growing by leaps and bounds, when it rains it pours, not only cats but dawgs, (sorry!! that's once in a blue moon) but really we do have a friendly little place here, so come see me, us, hell I don't care just come, I'll fix us a bite to eat, get us a glass of tea, show you around, and last but not least, we'll leave the light on!!!!!!!!!

Gran-Dawgs

We don't know what my youngest will name his new puppy, (the black one) but the other is Dolly and Sam is the older black. Precious aren't they? My kids love their dawgs.

My Oldest Has A Birthday!

My oldest baby turned 23. Here he is pictured with 2 of the newest girls in his life. His new wife of 2 months and a new puppy-Dolly. He already had the older dog-Sam (a girl) before they got married, and all I can say is "They are crazy!!" I love dogs, and am really proud of how patient he is with these puppies. We celebrated with Coffee Ice Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookies. I used to make a cake by layering these two and refreezing it for him when he got older for his birthday, and so it was good to do it again. The wife though is not as fond of java, as we are, as I asked her to have a cup with us one time and she said "No, thanks, I usually have to make mine white before I can drink it." To me, that just isn't coffee, but that's okay too, she's a sweety- I think we'll keep her!!! It was a great day! I am a proud mom!

Sister Sue!! She's All Growed Up!!!

This is one of my pride and joys!!! She is truly a sweetheart, and I love her so!! She's been there for me I know more than a daughter should have to be for their mother, when she was going through hell herself. Her college town won't know what hit them, when she gets to town. I will surely miss her, but at the same time, am so excited for this part of her life. You go Sissy!!!

I LOVE OLD STUFF!!!!

I love gardening-and miss country living. Have lived on a ranch, or in the country, most of my life. There's just this smell early in the morning, and seeing cattle on the road when you've come home from town, that I truly miss. Well- okay, I have to admit, I would tease the cattle on the road, act like I was gonna run over them, the calves would just run and kick. Oh! This sounds soooooooooooo corny--- back to what I wanted to say. This old door is an example of some of the country look I like to use. I think it's fun to try to repurpose what I can. Is that a word? I thought I heard Martha or some other know-it all, say it before. Needless to say, my soon to be ex-husband will be glad to see that go-- to my new place, the quicker the better!! These are just a few of the pictures I've taken in my backyard in the last few days. I'm gonna miss this house, but wanted to capture some of it.

Had To Change The Name

Well, I had been trying to come up with a really clever name, and had alot of ideas, but nothing really jumped out at me. I probably should explain where the earlier name (BootsnFlowers) came from. When my daughter was little she used to love to draw, and she would always say "Mom, what do you want me to draw for you?" and that was my response, - a boot with flowers. So needless to say, I have some precious drawings of bootsnflowers. Now, I can't imagine starting my day without coffee, and the same goes for blogging, this is so addicting, (like coffee), and my friends and I were talking over lunch, throwing names around for girls we wanted to start a blog and this came up for me. So now you have it!!

PRECIOUS!!! PRECIOUS!!! PRECIOUS!!! I could not get enough of him!! Aren't those the most kissable lips you've ever seen? Did I mention how PRECIOUS he is?

My Vacation Was GREAT!!!!

A good time was had by all!!! I want to live in South Texas!! It is hot, but the shopping is GREAT!!! My vacation consisted of shopping, relaxing, shopping, watching my daughter play in an all-star volley-ball tournament, shopping , eating, kissing on my best friend's new grand-baby, and then some more shopping!!! Didn't buy all that much but got some great ideas for my house. We are getting ready to put our house on the market and so these ideas will come in handy!!! We went to Waco and Salado to check out the neat antique shops and boutiques. It was great and I needed it!
